I graduated in 2017 with a BSc. Digital Media Design from the University of Limerick in 2017. This is now called "Creative Media and Interaction Design Common Entry". From this entry point, individual students focus on either the B.Sc. in Digital Media Design (Interaction Design) or the B.Sc. in Music Media and Performance Technology (Computer Arts).
The Digital Media Design program provided me with the skills to design engaging interactive experiences for users, building on new technologies. During the program, I had access to cutting-edge hardware, software and pedagogical support, including prototyping apps on mobile platforms (e.g. Arduino, Android), producing screen-based content with creative software (e.g. Adobe, Processing, Axure, etc.), building interactive objects with physical computing (e.g. Arduino, Raspberry Pi), and exploring interactive programming (e.g. Processing, HTML, CSS, Javascript).
The varied projects are described in more detail in the relevant tabs.
