Professional Experience
The overview of my work history can be found in my CV, but here you will find some more nitty-gritty details of my previous work experience!
Office Manager, Cocochoco Ireland & UK Ltd.
March 2021 - Present
In my current role of Office Manager for Cocochoco Ireland & UK Ltd, I run the day-to-day operations of both the salon and the distribution service. This includes organising the training sessions, logistics, invoicing, monitoring and ordering stock, organising deliveries, general customer service, monitoring social media, and dealing with any issues with suppliers and customers.
I also work with our IT services manager, and rectify any minor back-end issues in our online store if and when they arise. I am in near-constant communication with the vast range of stakeholders in order to keep the business running smoothly on a daily basis. I was also part of the hiring process when selecting our new Digital Marketing Specialist team member. I managed the Indeed posting of the job opportunity, responded to applicant’s questions, and scheduled the interviews before selecting the best candidate.
Regarding the training, I am responsible for creating the online classroom, sharing the links with all attendees, and ensuring that all students have understood the access instructions. Once the training is completed, I am responsible for sending out our follow up emails, training manuals, and links for submitting the assignments. I then review the assignments that are submitted from all of our students, and write and send their certificates. Finally, I am in the process of registering our training academy for accreditation. This process includes creating training manuals, lesson plans, and certificates for the accreditation company to review.
We have also incorporated a new UK-based company for Cocochoco Professional, this was largely due to the impact of Brexit. I am liasing with stakeholders in the UK; accountants, couriers, etc. in order to establish a distribution service that adheres to all new regulations that have been brought in with Brexit.

Passenger Services Agent, Swissport
April 2014 - September 2019
I was employed on seasonal contracts from April 2014 to September 2019 with Swissport in Shannon Airport as a Passenger Services Agent. Swissport is a ground handling agent, and is subcontracted by a number of airlines in order to handle all ground operations (passenger services, cargo, etc.). In my role as a Passenger Services Agent, I and my team were responsible for the smooth and timely handling of passengers, from check-in to boarding, for airlines including Delta Airlines and Ryanair. The hours were often unsociable (my normal shift was 4.30am - 12.30pm), and we often had to manage some disgruntled passengers, delays, cancellations and diversions, but overall the experience I gained in this position was unparalleled.
