Video Projects
Our first video project was called Redrum (for reasons that may become clear). I have no acting skills whatsoever, so I do apologize.
I am quite the Judge Judy fan ("always get things in writing!"), so when we started brainstorming for ideas for our second video project, a spoof of a Judge Judy episode was one of the first things to come to my mind. Luckily, my groupmates were also fans, so we took the idea and ran with it. None of us claim to be script writers, so most of this shoot was improvised.
Originally, we had a moot courtroom in UL as the shoot location, however when we arrived to the room to shoot, it had been double booked. Apparently law students get dibs on the room. Only fair, I suppose! |
Audio Project
In the beginning of second year, we were tasked with forming a group, then finding a band and recording one of their songs using ProTools. We would then have to mix their song, and create a CD. The aim of this module was to give us some experience working with all-things audio. We spent one full day in the studio recording the song, and a further week or so mixing it. It was a difficult project at times as we were all totally new to the software, but ultimately I am proud of what our group produced.
A massive thank you to our band “And All You Could Do Was Laugh” for your unwavering patience, we are forever grateful.
